Julia Echols Scott TewOctober 8, 2017
On August 21, 1975, Richard and Gail Scott were blessed with their youngest child a precious daughter, Julia Echols. For 42 years Julia brightened the world around her.
Julia attended Forsyth public schools participating in band and with the soils and forestry teams of FFA. She also represented Forsyth High, Attending the National Young Leaders Conference, Washington DC , in 1993. She attended the University of Arkansas, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism on May 8, 1999.
On June 15, 2001 Julia met the love of her life at a wedding in Texarkana. She and Brannon Robert Tew were wed in an outdoor ceremony in Fayetteville Arkansas on June 1, 2002. Their love grew each year and they were an example to all, being equally yoked and truly living out “in sickness and in health”.
Julie spread her light wherever she went, blessing all who came to know her. She genuinely loved and cared for her husband, family, and friends with passion and a fierce loyalty. A child of God, she shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with countless friends and strangers. The world was a sweeter place with her in it, and now Heaven has gained an extraordinary angel. Her legacy of love and grace will follow her forever.
Despite the challenges life threw at her, she never faltered in her faith and never let it diminish her joy. Through it all, Julia’s empathy and concern for others defined her.
Julia was the youngest of the Scott’s eight children. She joins her brother Robert Allen Kenney (Bobby, AKA Beep) in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Brannon Tew.
