Norma Jean (Rockwell) Odice, 91, of Republic, MO., formerly of Forsyth.
Norma passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the Republic Nursing and Rehab. She was born on March 1, 1927 at Perry, IA., daughter of George and Hazel (Green) Lester. She married Jesse Rockwell in Iowa, after which two daughters were born; they then moved to CA., to raise their children. They then moved to Forsyth in the 1970’s. After the death of Jesse in 1997, Norma moving to Florida in 2000 and remarried. She becoming a widow again in 2007 and moving back to the Ozarks.
During her lifetime Norma was very active with her church with faithful attendance, playing the guitar for services, and singing lead alto parts. She also visited with church members and shut-ins, and taught Sunday School at Faith Assembly of God in Forsyth. Norma worked in the Dietary Department at the former Skaggs Hospital, Branson
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Everly of Kissee Mills, MO., and Marilynn Culpen of Springfield, MO., 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren and sister, Marcella David of Omaha NE.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jesse Rockwell and Lawrence Odice; brothers, Bill Willis, Ed Willis, and Seymour Lester; and sisters, June Lucas and Mary Ellen Lester.
