Rocky Lane Braden, 59, of Kissee Mills, MO., departed this life October 7, 2017 at the home of his sister Holly Wilson in Taneyville, MO. Rocky was born January 22, 1958 at Skaggs Community Hospital in Branson, MO., the son of Howard Dale and Shelba Jean (Davis) Braden.
Rocky attended school in Odell, Oregon, Taneyville, MO., and graduated from Forsyth High School Class of 1976.
Rocky was very talented, he was an excellent graphic artist. His designs were used for Graceland, Sea World, and the band Alabama. He was also an excellent musician, he played drums and bass guitar in several bands. Rocky and his cousin Keith formed their own band and played in various locations. Rocky also was gifted with a great talent for singing. He also played in the band at the Mountaineer Music Show in the Old Owen Theatre in Downtown Branson.
Rocky worked several years at Skaggs Community Hospital as an Emergency Room Tech and also was an EMT for the Taney County Ambulance District. Rocky was highly praised for his kindness by the patients that he attended both in the Emergency Room and the calls he made to the homes of patients. He had a passion for helping the sick and elderly.
Rocky was very sentimental and liked antiques, especially cars. He also enjoyed motorcycles and collecting musical instruments.
Rocky is survived by his Daughter Mindy and her Husband Jack Elliott of Branson, MO. and Son Stephen Braden and his Wife Adrian of Florida. He is also survived by his loving Father Dale and wife Jo Braden, his loving devoted Sister Holly and Husband Roger Wilson. Preceding him in death is his Wife Melba and his Mother Shelba Jean (Davis) Braden. Rocky also leaves behind nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
In lieu of flowers the Family has requested that donations be made to Together Forever A Skyler Sanders Foundation. Donations can be made through any Branson Bank location.
