Buddy Earl Albright passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jean Davidson, and nephew Rick Davidson. He is survived by Marilyn, his beloved wife of 59 years, and two daughters: Kelly Johnson (husband Gregg) and Paula O’Neal (husband Ron). He thought the world of his four grandsons: Brett Johnson and wife Sandra, Zachary Johnson, Hunter O’Neal and wife Chloe, and Brady O’Neal and Hannah Burdge. He loved his one great grandchild, Olivia Johnson, and also his loyal dog, Puddin.
Buddy was born on December 11, 1944, to Paul and Gladys (Roberts) Albright in Bradleyville, Missouri. He started working in the sawmill industry with his dad at a very young age. He continued in that industry until he retired. He loved to hunt and be outdoors. Buddy went to Colorado to elk hunt for many years and cherished those memories with his friends. He also was a gun collector and enjoyed going to gun shows all over the country. He loved those times spent with his friends, Bruce and Junior. Buddy also had a farm that he loved. He would spend hours sitting on the hill looking at his cows or down by the creek letting Puddin' swim.
Most of all, he loved his family and was proud of every single one of them. Buddy was a storyteller - the very best if you ask his grandsons. He never knew a stranger. He will be missed. Special thanks to Mel Whittaker and Josh Isaacs for their love and kindness for our family.
The family will have a private celebration of Buddy’s life at a later date. No formal services are planned.
