Floyd R. Gallogly was born October 8, 1931, and entered into his eternal home on June 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Nadine (Plath) Gallogly; his parents, James L. Gallogly and Annie E. Gallogly; his brother, James M. Gallogly; and great-grandsons Jaxon Matthew Robison, Jude Henry Robison, and Hudson Floyd Robison.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria F. (Bollenbaugh) Gallogly; his sister, Frances A. (Stephen) Higgins; his daughters Lori (Charles) Kaufmann and Leanne (Gordon) Burgess; nine grandchildren: July (Aaron) Pulscher, Jacie (Andrew) Ziegelbein, Jerilyn (Dallas) Burgeson, Jillian (Marc) Seller, Jordan (Audrey) Kaufmann, Jared (Heidi) Burgess, Summer (Michael) Bartz, Laura (Matthew) Robison, and Micah Burgess; and twenty great-grandchildren. Spending time with his family was one of Floyd's greatest joys.
Floyd proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean war. He enjoyed his 34 years with Northern Natural Gas Company in Iowa, including the Ogden, Waterloo, and Des Moines locations, before retiring in April,1987. Later, he and Gloria moved to southern Missouri where he enjoyed boating and fishing.
A high priority for Floyd was to serve God in whatever capacity he could. He demonstrated this in his caring relationships with his family, friends & co-workers, and by his faithful work for the churches he attended.
There will be a celebration of Floyd’s life at a graveside service on October 9th, 10:00 a.m. at the Kissee Mills Cemetery, Kissee Mills, MO 65680.
