Glen N. Curtis, 79, of Forsyth, MO., died Monday May 18, 2020. He was born July 21, 1940, in Mason City, IA., the son of William and Rachel (Laager) Curtis. While living in Cerro Gordo County, IA, Glen worked at Homestead Foods as a meat cutter for 26 years; then 7 years as a bus driver for the elderly in the county, and then, retiring.
Glen married his love, Henrietta Luppen, in Hollister, MO. In 2002 they moved to Forsyth.
Glen had been a member of the Calvary Full Gospel Church since July 2003. He loved going to church and especially loved his church family. For the past 13 years Glen and his friends would have coffee many mornings at the Yummy Donuts Coffee Shop. He was known around Forsyth as being a wonderful man that loved to hang out with his buddies.
Survivors include, wife Henrietta of the home; children, Lori Thomas of Hudson, IA., Hope Enerson and Brian Knapp both of Lancaster, PA., Doug Santee of Charles City, IA ., Dennis Santee of Forsyth, MO., Sandra Reams of Topeka, KS., Steve Santee of LaVerne, TN., and Cindy Jepsen of Forsyth, MO.; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Rhonda Williams of Waterloo, IA.; 3 sisters-in-law, Marjorie Aswegen and Frances VanEllen both of Parkersburg, IA., and Caroline Troutner of Cedar Falls, IA.
Glen is preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Jocey.
A controlled-limited visitation will be held conforming to the City of Forsyth's Phase I Re-openingPplan. A director will greet you at the door to offer instructions as you arrive.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Whelchel Grace Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a future date in Iowa.
