Phillip George Gardanier walked through the gates of heaven pain and cancer free on April 21, 2022. Phil was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 22, 1937.
Phil worked for several companies in Chicago before running his own in Glenview, Illinois. He developed a love for NASCAR when he worked for a company that made model kits of the cars where he wrote and illustrated the instructions and spent time in the NASCAR pits photographing the cars. If Phil were here helping write this, he would say enough about my work history tell them about my fish stories. Everyone that knew Phil knew his love for fishing whether in Wisconsin on Lake Michigan, or in Naples, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico or in Forsyth, Missouri on Lake Taneycomo. He also was a great Fisher of Men. He loved sharing his faith. If he could talk to us now, he would tell us there are no words to describe the glory of heaven and if you aren't sure where you will spend eternity you need to ask God to help you find your way and I will be here waiting to greet you.
Phil is survived by his wife and best friend Nancy of 35 years; son Ron Gardanier; granddaughter Amy Gardanier;, brother in law Tim (Jan) Weidner; sister in law Ellen Weidner; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents Wynn and Louise Gardanier; son George Gardanier; brother David Gardanier; nephew Scott Gardanier; and brother in law Donald Weidner.
Phil will be greatly missed, especially by his wife who did life by his side whether at work or play.
Phil also had a strong desire to see Church 3:16 own the building they are having services in. His request is for donations to the church.
