Obituary

Ralph Lockhart of Forsyth, Missouri & formerly of Kenai, Alaska, passed away peacefully in his sleep December 5th, 2019, in Corsicana, Texas at the age of 85. Visitation will be at Whelchel Grace Funeral Home in Forsyth, Missouri on Thursday December 12th from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm. Graveside services will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri at 2:00 pm with Military honors. Mr. Lockhart served during the Korean War.

Ralph was born in Memphis, Texas, son of Barney Ralph Lockhart and Lorene (Hoover) Lockhart Miller. Ralph was raised in Memphis, Texas and lived in various cities in Texas including, Corpus Christi where he met his wife Jenny Lockhart. They moved to Kenai, Alaska shortly thereafter. Ralph worked in the Oilfield until he retired in 1993.They enjoyed 43 years of marriage before his wife went to be with the Lord in 2016. Ralph was a gun enthusiast he was part of Snow Show Gun Club in Kenai, Alaska and Ozark Shooters in Ozark MO. He traveled all over the United States participating in shooting matches. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and had love of sports.

Mr. Lockhart was preceded in death by his parents Barney Lockhart & Lorene Lockhart Miller, his beloved wife Jenny Lockhart, stepdaughters Tina Hardcastle and Terry Hardcastle and his sister Joan (Lockhart) McCreary.

Mr. Lockhart is survived by his daughter Ann (Lockhart) Hall-Lowe and Son-in-law Bill Lowe. Grandchildren Jason & Sierra Hall, five step-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.  Stepson Jack Hardcastle and daughter-in-law Dana Hardcastle. Grandchildren Amanda Hardcastle and three great grandchildren. Jack Hardcastle III, Grand-daughter Ashley & Jameson Murff and three great grandchildren. Stepson Duke Hardcastle and grandchildren Chelsea and Zane Aberkane, Duke Hardcastle Jr, and Shayla Hardcastle and two great grandchildren. Mr. Lockhart also has Grandchildren from his Stepdaughters that preceded him in death. Casey and Jessica Curtis and Matthew Hardcastle-Ussery. And family and friends in Texas.
