Virginia May Wyatt Cummings.
Virginia May Wyatt Cummings, 92, of Kissee Mills, died May 29, 2021, at her home after a long illness with heart disease with her family by her side.
Jenny was born May 29, 1929, in Hilda, Missouri, the daughter of Truman and Ada (Roberts) Wyatt. She was a lifelong resident of Taney County with the exception approximately two years in Wichita, Kansas where Burnis worked in the oil fields.
When Jenny married Burnis, it was their decision for her to stay home and raise their family. Burnis Said, “he wanted a bunch of kids, and we are keeping them clean and I’m going to help you”.
Jenny along with raising her family also raised cows, chickens, and pigs.
After her kids were grown, she had a daycare and kept many children over several years.
She attended Kissee Mills Community Church.
Survivors include one daughter and four sons. Donetta and Darrell Mitchell of Taneyville; Raymond and Jeannie Cummings of Garrison, Bill and Brenda Cummings and Randall and Becky Cummings, both of Brown Branch; and Leonard and Racine Cummings of Powersite; one brother Danny and wife Sheila Wyatt of Forsyth; one sister-in-law Bobbi Wyatt of Forsyth; one brother-in-law Lane and wife Shirley of Chadwick; 13 grandchildren: Sheila, Tracey, Missy, Chris, Shannon, Karen, Jeremiah, Stephanie, Matt, Stacey, Marlana, Mitch, and Doug; 32 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and, a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life Burnis; her parents; three sisters; two brothers; and one infant sister.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whelchel Grace Funeral Home.
