Dennis Lee Wyman, age 73, of Rueter, Missouri.
Dennis passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare facility in Ava, Missouri, after struggling with a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Rueter, where he was born to H.B. (Buster) and Bertha (Braden) Wyman on May 7, 1949. Dennis lived his life to the fullest until his health started to decline a few years ago. He enjoyed farming and raising beef cattle on his farm in Rueter.
Over his lifetime Dennis explored several opportunities for employment. Along with farming, he was a carpenter for many years, working alongside his brothers, Bernard and Elwood. He drove a truck over the road for Christensen Trucking (Jim & Willard Christensen) and Hirshback Trucking (Hiram Henson). Dennis also hauled cedar closet lining for Audie Robertson. The last several years he owned and operated Wyman Bulldozing.
Dennis had a great personality. He was always friendly, with a big smile on his face, and a mischievous streak a mile long, never meeting a stranger. He liked to hunt, going on several elk hunts in Colorado with family and friends. He loved to grab suckers, especially alongside his dad, Buster. He enjoyed camping and going to chuck wagon races with his family. And Dennis loved horses. From a very young age he enjoyed breaking, training, and riding horses - anything to do with horses, honestly. That love was passed down to his daughters and grandchildren, who shared many, many horse shows, fun days, trail rides, even a few run-aways, and a rodeo or two over the years.
Dennis is survived by his daughters, Sandy Harmon of Bradleyville and Janene Cross and husband Allen of Rueter; ex-wife Janice (Rickel) Wyman of Rueter; grandchildren Heather and Jon Stiffler of Rueter, Jake Harmon of Bradleyville, Hunter Cobb of Rueter, and Sadie Cross of Rueter; great-grandaughters Kora Harmon, Ada Cobb and Allie Cobb; sister Delene (Wyman) Brightwell of Protem; brother Elwood Wyman and wife Francis of Rueter; sister-in-law Almeda Wyman of Rueter; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents H.B. (Buster) and Bertha (Braden) Wyman; brothers Bernard and infant brother Martin Wyman; sister Henreitta (Wyman) Marler; brothers-in-law Donnie Brightwell and Vernon Marler; and son-in-law Rick Harmon.
Dennis will be so greatly missed by not only his family but his friends and neighbors as well.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation to the Wyman Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
